I’d heard about Mt. Washington, which is up in New Hampshire and have wanted to come here for a long, long time. Even though it’s only 6289 feet tall, it’s supposed to have really extreme weather on top of the mountain and has always been a challenge to climb for hikers and winter campers.

The Appalachian Trail crosses the summit as well as Tuckermans Ravine Trail, both are popular hiking trails in the Northeastern United States. It’s also one of the oldest tourist attractions in America.

I went in the summertime, but it was still a little scary when we got near the edge of the road to the top! Wait till you see the Cog Railway. It’s a little old train that takes people to the very top, so that they don’t have to walk or drive themselves.

Hope you enjoy it and if you make it there, send me a postcard from the Tip-Top house.

Love, Bella!
