I’m at Gettysburg National Park and I’ve learned a whole lot about America’s Civil War while I was here. That war was national tragedy and what I find most disturbing is that we’re still dealing with the issue of racism in America today. Hopefully you’ll enjoy my visit and it will remind you of why anyone who makes the United States their home for whatever reason, should expect to have the same rights and freedoms that their neighbors have, regardless of the color of their skin, the origin of their family or their chosen faith.
See you soon!

Enjoyed your Gettysburg video, Bella! On your next visit, I hope you’ll stop by to see the Irish Brigade’s wolfhound on their magnificent monument, and Sallie Ann Jarrett’s statue on the 11th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry monument. Sallie, the 11th’s canine mascot, became quite famous at Gettysburg, and her loyalty to her fallen soldiers there is a favorite human interest story of the battle.

You have some good ideas. If you think of anything else, please share it. I just adopted two twin girls (puppies) and they’ll be taking over my blog in 2017. Dad is planning to do take them on a huge adventure as soon as they finish school. No one likes a puppy who can’t behave herself!

Bella has a huge intellect for a pooch–but OK–I think she’s 100% correct! Pity the message is not being sustained in today’s world–at least, that’s the way it seems presently…..
